OBJECTIVE: Student will expand their knowledge of Catholic people and events

TIME: Two 45-minute class periods and one homework assignment

MATERIALS:
Kids Explore America’s Catholic Heritage - pages 1-37
Graph paper for each student
Pencil

ACTIVITIES:
1. Have students skim history chapter making a list of 10 to 25 important people and events.
2. Have students create a word search from their lists, as homework.
3. During the second class period students should exchange their word searches and solve the puzzle they are given.
