Scavenger hunt worksheet printed from this site

ACTIVITY:
Arrange kids into groups of 3-4
Students explore Faith in Action chapter as they answer scavenger hunt questions
Teacher addresses questions as they arise

EVALUATION:
As a large group, students share answers.

1. St. Sebastian parish ran the “Rice Bowl” program during Lent to raise money for international organizations and their local diocese to feed the hungry.
2. Teens in Nebraska walked 3 miles to raise money for “Going Bananas Across America” which donated money to 21 churches in different countries and food banks in Nebraska.
3. Portland, Oregon teens participated in a “fast” to experience hunger.

1. Shannon Gunning attended World Youth Day and then became involved in her church.
2. Rachel Lampa records Christian music.
3. Christy Caruso collects computers and gives them to children who do not have any.
4. Tori Babin built orphanages, babysat, cooked and cleaned in Mexico; helped teach preschool and visited elderly in France; and volunteered at the Samaritan House, with clothing drives and with students with special needs in Denver.
5. Theresa McCullar is the president of the Key Club service group, worked at a camp, volunteered in New Mexico and is involved in People to People, which traveled to Europe.
6. Jason Shin and Ben LaChance traveled to San Rafael, New Mexico to clean and repair a cemetery and a park.
